Christine MungaiChristine Mungai has a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science and Technology from Egerton University in Kenya. She is currently in the final stages of completing her Master’s degree in Communication at Daystar University in Kenya.

She began her media career in 2009 as a Production Assistant at Africa Challenge Productions. In 2010, she joined The EastAfrican newspaper as a reporter for the most prestigious weekly publication in the broader eastern Africa region. She has written on a wide range of subjects, including politics, business, security, education, technology and culture.

In 2014, she joined Mail & Guardian Africa as a Senior Reporter, where she specialised in analytical, data-driven stories. She is now a writer and editor of Africapedia.com, a data-focused approach to reporting on African trends. She also writes and collaborates with Africapedia’s spin off site, RogueChiefs.com, which is an Africa explainer, that gives insight on the ‘why’ behind the news.
